Windows 10: FTPM message/bitlocker recovery key needed for every boot

Hello,Every time my computer has been idle for more than a few hours, and when booting up after computer is shut off or dies, I have had a FTPM error message. It prompts me Yes to reset the FTPM or No to keep old FTPM. Since I have not had any new changes to the device no new CPU or otherwise, I have routinely selected No. I am then prompted to enter my bitlocker recovery key, sometimes I have to do this process twice in a row. This is growing quite tedious. Based on searches of other questions, it seems relevant to mention that in my settings, Device Encryption is On, but that is as fa

fTPM key glitch

Hello. I logged onto my laptop last night to be greeted to a message which says “Press Y to reset fTPM, if you have Bitlocker or encryption enabled system, the system will not boot without a recovery key. Press N to previous fTPM record and continue system boot. fTPM will NOT be enabled with new CPU unless fTPM is reset (reinitialized), you could swap back to the old CPU to recover TPM related keys and data.”

However, much to my surprise, no options work and i’m locked at this screen. I cannot go to BIOS because the Dell logo doesn’t show up.

1. Are you not able login to your computer due to BitLocker Recovery Key?
2. Did you ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key on your computer?
3. Are you not able to login to your Microsoft Account to find the BitLocker Recovery Key?
4. Are you using Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Professional?

Meanwhile, try finding BitLocker Recovery Key if you have ever setup BitLocker Recovery Key for your computer.

I did follow your suggestion but I can't get recovery key.

I got the below message.

You don't have any BitLocker recovery keys in your Microsoft account.

Next Step, What should I do?
