  1. Full screen online videos have display changes automatically applied?

I got a new laptop a week ago (HP Envy 15 2020 model) and I've noticed when I put an online video (like YouTube) in full screen, after a second or two it's like an automatic filter or enhancement is applied, and it usually just adds a little brightness more than anything. It's not a huge deal, but it does bother me sometimes because I have my display settings dialed in like I like them, and then they get changed somewhat when I go into full screen. This has sometimes resulted in some crushed blacks in the video from the additional brightness

I don't have Windows HDR turned on so I don't think that could be it. Any help is greatly appreciated

  2. Windows 10 infinite restart black screen

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
