So simply put, anytime my mouse is on my screen whether it be the game uses the mouse as part of the gameplay, or if I go to a menu or press tab, - just anytime I have my mouse on my screen basically it will not lock it to my fullscreen game and if I go to far to the right it goes off obviously onto my second monitor. which this is kind of problematic. I have tried to do stuff to my Xbox game bar and try the windows beta versions, nothing works. this only happened once I got my new monitor but I configured it correctly I am 100% sure have been looking on reddit for minute too. many people I kn

  2. [SOLVED] Dual monitors no mouse on second screen.

I just installed a new (used) GPU and now cannot move mouse to second screen.

Titan X GTX 12GB card. Monitors same make and model. ( Worked fine on prior GPU )

Second monitor has taskbar but no desktop icons. If I open programs that previously had panes on each monitor they return to original position as expected but cannot mouse over to access the program.

When I open the display settings window it opens on the monitor without a mouse so I cannot drag displays around without a mouse. I can tab through settings but nothing there solves anything. If I try "detect" is says no second monitor found however in advance settings it clearly shows and correctly identifies both monitors.

    Win 10 | 10.0.19043

Could this be driver related or is it a Win 10 problem with dual monitors?

It would be easier to work on this if I knew of a way to move the settings screen to the active monitor screen.

    Any ideas?

    [SOLVED]

Solved by experimenting. First task was to get the settings window on a screen with a mouse. I tabbed down to "Make this my default" and then had a mouse on same monitor as settings window.

I checked the monitors. All okay. Same make, model and resolution etc. Still no mouse on #2

So tried changing resolution to lower seeing and got a mouse back on #2 but that screen was compressed in size ( blank borders appeared)

I then changed resolution back to the original size and then everything was fine. Both monitors full screen and mouse now works as it should.

Guess Win 10 was taking a nap..got confused.

    Thanks ya'all

Mouse Cursor on second screen changes randomly

    • Did the issue only occur when you updated your graphics card?
      • Appears to have only begun with the new graphics card. It's an AMD RX480 card. I uninstalled all Nvidia drivers prior to installing the new AMD drivers. It doesn't occur on the first monitor, only second. Which would indicate either something in the
translation between monitors or something along those lines.
    • Are your drivers up to date?
      • From my understanding they all are, I try to keep everything up to date.
    • Have you checked if the problem is the mouse itself?
      • I do not currently have a second mouse, but the fact that it's only when it tracks to the second screen. On first screen everything is good. The normal cursor displays, but when I track to the second screen that's when the weirdness happens.
    • Are you using a wired mouse
      • Yes
