Windows 10: Full Virus Scan does not complete...runs for hours

Discus and support Full Virus Scan does not complete...runs for hours in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I am unable to run 'Full Scans' with Microsoft Defender.     Full Virus Scan does not complete...runs for hours


    I am unable to run 'Full Scans' with Microsoft Defender. It will start running like normal, but it does not stop. I have left if running all day and all day but it does not stop nor does it produce any threat messages. The result after I cancel the scan is always - No current threats.On Tues 5/28/2024 I ended my workday with no computer issues. On Wed morning I attempted to log into my RDS session as I normally do, via Ivanti but I received a Windows Defender noncompliance message, so I ran a full scan which I had already done 2 weeks prior. The scan ran to completion, but Ivanti kept retur

    I'm running a full scan and it's taking over 30 hours to complete.

    I'm running a full virus scan and the more files it scans the higher the estimated completion time goes. It's now over 30 hours.

    Please confirm you don't have a list like this:

    If not, suggests deeper problems. To which uninstall option are you referring? (A picture is worth...)
