  1. Fullscreen optimizations causing weird screen/cursor behaviours

Those so called fullscreen optimizations, doing absolutely nothing for my games but causing the mouse cursor stuck at middle of the screen when in game, can't play in windowed mode because of this ****, cannot even use overlay software properly due to this such as steam overlay and msi afterburner. And when I disable this, same thing happens. I'm forced to play in completely fullscreen mode by Microsoft because of their stupid "feature". I don't want that, I use windowed mode because I alt tab very often, now can't even do that anymore.

Thanks for the garbage, in returning the favour, I have uninstalled your beloved Microsoft Edge Chromium browser from my computer, reduced to the legacy edition, and did default browser Firefox instead.

Thanks for wasting my time with these issues that supposed to already be fixed in internal testing.

    :)

  2. Can Fullscreen optimization cause input lag?

I've heard some games like Overwatch and CSGO can have some lag input when fullscreen optimization is enabled. Can you tell me what Fullscreen optimization actually does?

Cursor crosses over to second screen

Hi, this started happening to me after a windows reinstall. When i play games that lock the cursor to screen 1 and i move the cursor to the right edge the arrow becomes seen on screen 2 even though its point cannot leave screen 1. Example: if i move the cursor up and down across the right edge of screen 1, the arrow can be seen moving on the left edge of screen 2 but cannot go further because its locked to screen1.

Its weird because it only happens in games (fullscreen or fullscreen windowed), not on the desktop. When on the desktop the cursor functions properly - the arrow only crosses over if its point crosses over.

Anyone know what causes this? Help greatly appreciated.

Fullscreen optimizations causing weird screen/cursor behaviours

What exactly is FullScreen Optimization in Creator's Update?

I was not able to find any documentation or description, official or unofficial, on what the "fullscreen optimization" really does?

It turns "true" fullscreen mode into a hybrid Borderless Windowed mode.

With certain games it is recommended to disable fullscreen optimization. Some reports better FPS, reduced input lag, but the results vary per game, probably per configuration.

    3. Windows 10 forces games into a faux fullscreen that is actually more like windows borderless and may seriously lower performance. fix inside : pcgaming
