Windows 10: Function/Blue characters Activated, How to revert to original keyboard

On some of the keys on my computer, there are symbols the color blue. Now I can't use normal keyboard because these blue letters were activated somehow. I need to switch them off so I can have total use of my PC keyboard please. For instance when I try press P the * comes up instead and it is that way for every key that has the alternate blue characters.

I suggest you check if your keyboard is faulty. Connect the keyboard to a different USB port (if it is a USB keyboard) or a different computer.

If your keyboard is not a culprit, perform the steps below to disable Num Lock:

- Go to the Start menu to find On-Screen Keyboard, open the On-Screen Keyboard and check if characters are doubled when typing

- If the characters are doubled when typing, type a character to check if the Fn + Num Lock keys are highlighted while typing

- If yes, press Fn + Num Lock keys together on the keyboard to disable the active Num Lock and check if it helps.

If Num Lock key is active, it results in characters being typed twice.

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
