Windows 10: Fundmental competence

Why is Microsoft so fundamentally incompetent? This is the basic question that should be answered on these pages.Why do they introduce features that no-one wants, abolish features that people use, and pay zero attention when people by the dozen point out that some fool program they have thrown in lacks basic functionality like “click-SHIFT select multiple”? Yes, Phone Link photo app, I am talking about you. Does anyone have an answer to this mystery?

Hello again Andre. Thanks for the information and step by step instructions. I am currently out of the Country and will be returning in a couple of weeks and I don't feel competent enough to do the reinstall that you're suggesting. So I will print up your
instructions and suggest that the people at Geek Squad do what you are suggesting and then see where we go from there.

You have to do all the steps the tutorial says including its Registry editing bits. You cannot just leap in at step 11.
If you want to avoid all Registry editing then you'll have to do what I originally suggested & just create a new, local, Admin, password-protected user account of your own instead of trying to amend the confusing Scott/Pamela one.

You never posted a link, only its title.
Since I won't know the author of that article anyway, I'd still suggest using the tutorial procedure because I know its author is highly competent.

Windows 10 keeps changing my screensaver

Now I have very bad feeling about competence of MS support in this forum... Since November 2016 there were no any useful suggestions from them.
