    Hi All

Having a bit of difficult since the latest Windows 10 updates - Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.125). Running 32-bit OS.

Essentially my desktop icons appear to be blurred or pixelated. It's not everything, the start menu and explorer windows are clear for example.

The most useful thing I've found is that it relates to EXTENDING to a second monitor. Above is a screenshot where I have my desktop extended to a second screen. Below is when I revert to a single display.

    Things I've tried:
    1. Various screen resolutions (both are on their native 1920 x 1200) and scaling options.
    2. Roll-back the update, but the 'Get Started' button would not do anything.
    3. System Restore - it failed.
    4. Uninstall Updates - the uninstall option wasn't available for all the updates.
    5. Uninstall Display Driver - Restart to re-install.
    6. 'Reset this PC' (remove everything), still occurs.

I'm tempted to do a full format and re-install an earlier Windows 10 from CD, but hoping to avoid it.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated.

    :)

Start Menu darkens when I click "All Apps" and scrolls down

I'm having the issue stated above with my Windows 10. It seems like a graphical glitch or some sort. The icons also gets fuzzy and pixelated. I'm using a laptop with Nvidia 860M and HD4600. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/1vlirqh.png

  3. windows 10 two monitors

When I hook a second monitor to windows 10, desktop icon fonts become blurry.

One of the icons is remote desktop. The fuzzy font is then also on the remote desktop after logging on to it.

Go to your graphic card's website, download the driver from there, uninstall your graphics card from your computer and install the one you just downloaded

    Hello people,

I have the exact same issue on my Desktop PC (Windows 10, 32bit), I have tried to re-install my graphic card drivers (ATI Radeon X1050) but without any luck ... The issue still exists, even on Version 1709 , OS Build 16299.309.

Any suggestions, would be very helpful *Smile

  8. Fuzzy/Pixelated desktop icons since Windows 10 update (Version 1709)

This is nothing to do with the Graphics card drivers. This is a defect/bug/issue with Windows 10 and is to do with Windows trying to be clever with trying to equalize rendering across multiple monitors.

I have put up with the fuzziness since moving to Windows 10 from 7. Windows 7 did not have the issue. However, I've been suffering headaches since the move but hadn't made the connection. It was only after I went to the doctor about the headaches and had to do a diary thing that the connection was made - the fuzziness was/is causing my headaches.

So, I've investigated this a load now and tried every damn fix I can find on Google. None fix the issue. None. Tried drivers, tried a DPI fix thing, tried changing resolutions everything.

I have four monitors; a 27" and 3 19" and have done for ages. And that is the problem. Windows 10 is trying to do some 'clever' stuff to probably make user experience better. It is failing. It doesn't work.

    The symptoms

On the desktop all the icons and icon text is fuzzy on all monitors.
The task bar does NOT have fuzziness.
The Start menu and sub-menus and tiles are NOT fuzzy
When an icon is being dragged the image is NOT fuzzy (Fuzziness returns when dropped onto desktop)
Applications and the client areas are NOT fuzzy.
When using a single monitor there is NO fuzziness anywhere.
When I RDP to another computer using all monitors EVERYTHING in the session is fuzzy (desktop AND applications etc)
When I RDP to another computer using a single monitor there is NO fuzziness.

The issue is with the engine that is rendering the desktop and the RDP client area.

So, is there a way of telling the explorer shell and RDP to stop trying to be clever and just do the simple job of rendering? That is where I am at the moment. I've tried copying the Windows 7 explorer.exe (not to be confused with IE which is iexplorer.exe! lol) to Windows 10 but it just moans about a version mismatch (probably as expected).
