  1. Galaxy Book 4 - HDMI Connection Problems with Ultrawide Monitor and MX570 A dGPU inactive

Hello, I recently purchased the Galaxy Book 4 entry-level version with the Intel Core 7 150U and the dedicated MX570 A graphics card model: NP750XGL-XG1BRThe issue is as follows: when connecting an ultrawide monitor via HDMI, I cannot set 21:9 resolutions, only 16:9 ones.I'm not sure if the HDMI version has anything to do with this or not.Another detail is that the MX570 A is never used for the external monitor, only for heavier programs or games.I went to a store to test another type of cable, a USB-C to HDMI, and at least I was able to run 21:9 2850x1080 resolution, but the M

  2. 2 x PCs into my Samsung 49 Ultrawide DP/HDMI - after a while of inactivity DP is not showing

    Hi,

I have my main PC connected to my Samsung 49" ultrawide monitors Display-Port, and a small (always on) micro PC connected to the HDMI port - and I can happily switch between each using the source selection

However, after a while of inactivity of my main PC the monitor seams to forget my main PC (DP) and only the micro PC is displayed (HDMI) - when I go to select Display port - it searches for a while then reverts to the micro PC (HDMI)

The only way I can get my main PC back on the monitor is to "Black-button" restart it , sometimes having to switch off the PSU for a while too- which I don't like doing -any suggestions please? - thank you

  3. Two monitors connected but they show as one ultrawide

    Hi Safra N,

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community. We appreciate for sharing your concern to us.

I am aware that you are having issues using a dock to connect your Surface laptop to two external monitors. I am here to help and let us work on this together. Allow me to ask some question.

    • What kind of dock did you use to connect with your Surface laptop?
    • What is the make and model of the external monitor?
    • What version of Windows are you currently running?
To separate the monitor from the ultrawide display, kindly try the following steps below.

    1. On your desktop, select Display settings by doing a right-click.
    2. Click on Detect after swiping down to the Multiple displays section.
    3. Click the second monitor once Windows has identified it, then choose "Disconnect this display" from the Multiple displays drop-down box.
This should detach the monitor from the ultrawide display.

For other troubleshooting guide, follow the solution provided from this article Troubleshoot connecting Surface to an external display - Microsoft Support.

    Kind regards,

    Lavenia
