Windows 10: Galaxy Buds not switching audio profiles Not switching between Headset and Headphones profiles

I use my Galaxy Buds+ on my Asus ROG Strix G15 laptop and they have been working fine up until about a week ago.I have spent many hours trawling through troubleshooting guides online and have uninstalled and re-installed all my bluetooth and audio drivers many times, with no success.The image below shows the problem, in that the "Headphones" profile for the Galaxy Buds+ is permanently disconnected. Before the issue started happening, both profiles were active and the buds would switch seamlessly between them depending if I was listening to HD audio or taking a call.All my drivers are up-to-dat

Surface Headphones will not switch Bluetooth profiles from Hands-Free to Stereo

Hello,

I am using the Surface Headphones for both music and softphone applications such as dialpad and shoretel connect. When the headphones are initially turned on, the stereo audio (headphones profile) is playing and is great. However, if I need to jump onto
a call, the application will switch to hands-free mode. This is fine and is to be expected, but when I am done with the call, the profile will STAY in handsfree mode. To revert back to my headphones stereo audio, I need to manually navigate to the Sounds and
disconnect the Headset.

I've confirmed that all of my bluetooth drivers are update to date via the device manager and have also tried to uninstall/reinstall the bluetooth drivers. Additionally, my Surface headphones are update to date as per the Cortana Devices app.

Is this something that Windows supports? I would imagine that bluetooth devices should be able to automatically switch between the "Headphones" and "Handsfree" profile.

It's a step closer to my wish.

Just not perfect, yet. I'm still toooo lazy to select the other profile here ;-) winks. But it's closer to my wish.

(I switch my profile sometimes 10-20 times a day between work and private profile)

 

Realtek HD Audio not switching to Headphone settings

I plugged in a headset to test my ASUS Z170 ROG Maximus VIII Hero motherboard.
The first screen that popped up asked if plugged in headset or speaker to the front jack
The second screen checked and set the headphone impedance and level.
The third screen just shows configuration with headset plugged in.
