Windows 10: Game bar doesn't remember that certain programs are games.

As the tin says, no matter how many times I hit Win+G, when the prompt comes up asking "is this a game?", I hit 'Yes', and then the prompt goes away, except I could do that literally 3 seconds after, and it asks AGAIN. What's worse, is it doesn't recognise the MCC collection as a game, but it recognises GTAV, both purchased on Steam.

I've Googling this problem and it doesn't help because nothing comes up.

Disable game bar for a certain program

1. While Google Chrome is in the forefront, open the game bar (either by clicking on the popup when it appears or with Win+G).
   
2. Click the gear (⚙️) icon to open Game Bar settings.
   
3. Uncheck "Remember this as a game ☑️".

So this is still a major issue and there are several separate posts on the MS forum regarding

this and still no solutions or suggestions which help.

Reinstalling the Xbox app does not work neither.

Any updates on this?

I can also add that is seems like the OP could be right with this:

"i tried unchecking "remember this as game" before closing the game and shutting down my laptop.

After playing it again, game bar still worked. Sadly thou, i forgot to uncheck "remember this as game" before shutting it off again."

Since when trying to record a different game everything works fine.

So is there a way to reset the settings for a certain game?

To make Game Bar "forget" it?
