Windows 10: Game Bar Going crazy even with controller unplugged

Not sure if this is the right place but for some reason gamebar and the other windows 10 ui are going crazy like in this gif even if I unplug my controller and dont move my mouse. Can't even go to windows 10 settings as its freaking out in there too.



Sorry if urls arent allowed here, I'm not too familar with reddit just want to fix this issue as google has been pretty hard to find the solution

I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps listed in fix problems with Game bar
on Windows 10 and check if it works.

Game controller ID settings

Hi Joe,

Thank you for the update. I understand your concern.

I would suggest you to look for the Devices settings in Control Panel and check if the game controllers are listed. If so, refer to the following steps to alter the settings and check if these are helpful in resolving your issue.

a. Right click on one of your game controllers and click Game Controller Settings. Note where in the list it is. If it is not at the top proceed to the next step.

b. Right click and remove all your other controllers (not the 360/gamepad) and let them reinstall automatically.

c. Once complete right click and check the list again and see if the 360 controller/gamepad is at the top. If so, give the game another try and see if it detects your controller.

If the issue still persists, restart your console and then try to reconnect your controller.

Record and Take Screenshots with Game Bar in Windows 10


Crazzzzzyyyy quick question but can this be used for things other then apps and games. Such as a way to record a program or a browser for helping make tutorials. The way I understand "Snipping Tool" can take screen shots as well as custom cutouts of the screen your on. And the "Steps Recorder" records the steps taken and can also apply notes to the steps. But can the Game Bar record things like a tutorial steps. Like by recording your screen as a video rather then just steps. Like I said above Crazy Question.
