Windows 10: Game Bar not opening web links?

I can't get Game Bar to open web links to my browser anymore I have tried the following repairs:In place upgradeFresh Install of Windows 10 and 11Checked Xbox Privacy SettingsI have signed out of my account on the gamebar and signed into a different account and the web links open fine on the gamebar but if I use my main account it will not open web links on the gamebar.

How can I place web page links on Win10 Task Bar that will open in Edge? Did a recent Update break this?

I have an i7 Surface Pro 4. November update.

Win7 allowed us to place a web link on the task bar. I used it to go directly to Google Calendar and Google G-Mail inbox.

Several commentators writing earlier this summer list steps that require opening in Internet Explorer to display the little "draggable" icon (for the desired site) above the content. Then this is dragged off to the desktop. They suggest that right clicking
this now-dropped icon/link will allow me to pin. I do not get offered that option. Contrary to their results, the icon *will* attach itself to the task bar but still invoke Internet Explorer.

• Right click on the Taskbar on Windows 10 desktop and select the Toolbars option.
•  It will take you to another set of toolbar options and click on Links option.

1. Type Default programs in search bar on your system and open Default programs under Control Panel.
2. Select Set your Default programs under Choose the program that Windows use by default.
3. Select Microsoft Edge as default program in the Set your Default programs Window.
