Windows 10: game bar Windows+G not working

I've tried lot of things but nothing fixed the problem. the app has all permits and all its options are activated.


Windows+alt+R nither works. every other shorcuts works. seems like its only gamebar or xbox app problem but as i said i tried everything i could imagine to fix it and nothing worked

want to open game bar, but win+G repeatedly asks if "want to open game bar?"

Pressing the letter G open Game bar

As per the information, it seems that you might have pressed on Windows key + G to open Game bar. I suggest that you use the follow the steps below and check if it helps



To Turn Off Game Bar in Xbox app

1. Open the Xbox app.

2. Click/tap on the Settings icon on the left, click/tap on
Game DVR at the top, and turn off the
Record game clips and screenshots using Game DVR setting at the top.

Microphone not working with Xbox game bar

My son is trying to record his playing on roblox using Xbox game bar. He is using a laptop on windows 10.

It was working fine a few days ago. Now he is having problems with the microphone. When he brings up the xbox game bar, (windows G), the menu says that the microphone is not working because of privacy settings.

When I go to the privacy settings for microphone, I gave permission to use the microphone for all the listed apps. But xbox game bar is not one of the listed apps. I also tried "reset" on the xbox game bar which did not help.

How can I give permission to the xbox game bar to access the microphone?

Microphone itself is working. I can use it on Cortana.
