Windows 10: Game crash with "The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found"

games are crashed after a few minutes of gaming. theres also buzzing sound before crashing to desktops sometimes.here's the following error detail in the windows event logs :I'm not using an app like RTX Voice or NVIDIA Broadcaster, also did the clean installation and installed before the last one released driver but the error still occurs. could somebody please help me ?

MSFS CTD with nvlddmkm "Event ID 0"

i recently got a new PC with an RTX 3080. Since the beginning i kept getting crashes to desktop after a few minutes into a game. It is always the same "nvlddmkm" error:

I discovered, that the NVIDIA setting "Prefer Maximum Performance" led to these crashes. By returning the setting to "Normal" i am now able to enjoy most of my games ... except Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

I tried every possible fix, from increasing the GPU processing time via the registry, to reinstalling drivers and even reinstalling Windows. I also tried downclocking the GPU wie MSI Afterburner and setting an aggressive fan curve (i rarely reach GPU temperatures above 65 °C now).

It seems, that both the Event ID "0" and especially the Event Data "\Device\Video3Error occurred on GPUID: 500" are quite rare. I wasn´t able to find help on exactly my issue. I attempted most solutions on the internet regarding all kinds of "nvlddmkm" errors, but unfortunatly none of them worked for me.

Can't play any games - "The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found."

Hey, I've had a lenovo pre-built for around four years and nothing was wrong with it until a few days ago where I started getting these errors listed below after a fresh install.



I've tried underclocking memory, and underclocking the gpu power by 10%, I've used DDU ininstaller around 3x for a fresh clean install of drivers, sfc scan and chkdsk. I've turned up the fan speed incase my GPU was getting too hot, and I've tried a bunch of other random solutions online and nothing seems to work. Should I try another fresh install? Can't even load up fortnite or league of legends without it crashing. For some odd reason too on rare occassions after uninstall the drivers and reinstalling them the games will work for a bit but no matter what after a PC restart it goes back to how it was, can't even load into a game without it saying "the game crashed due to a gpu error"



Is my GPU broken randomly or is it something else?

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
