Windows 10: Game crashes on main account administrator but works on new local account

Hi,So I've been playing a game Skyrim, no mods for a while now but I have this weird issue that has never been solved. So here's the situation:- Once I hit play the game begins running on window mode. Once I hit start a new game, along with the sound effect confirming the game start, the game crashes to the desktop after a few seconds. No errors or pop-ups are involved. I also later noticed that Skyrim could not detect any save files either.- Yet after all attempts to fix the issue, I eventually realized that Skyrim works perfectly fine when I created a new Windows account and played it thro

New Local Account Not Working In Windows 10

Hi Scott,

This issue could have happened due to corrupted profile on your Windows 10. We suggest that you delete the non-working profile on your PC and try to register it again.

To delete your non-working account, we suggest that you follow these steps:

• Click on the *Start menu**. It's the Windows logo in the bottom left of your screen.

  Click on Settings.

  Click on Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on Family & other users.
  
• 
  Click on the account you wish to remove.
  
• 
  Click on the remove button.
  
• 
  Click on the Delete account and data button.

Local account to administrator

Just to be straight with terminology.

You can set up your device with a local account or Microsoft account.

Within each of these options you can then either be an Administrator or a Standard user.

If you go Start, Settings, Account and click on Your Info is it listing you as a local account and just below that are you Standard or Administrator.

 

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address.
