  1. Game engine keeps trying to install, not sure what's triggering the installer command?

Recently I got this game engine software and I installed it. Installation complete, everything's running fine. However, for some reason the engine's installer randomly autoruns from time to time, trying to install the software again and again. I'm 100% sure this is not a virus, I got the software officially from its developer's official site. Anyway I already scanned my computer for viruses just in case multiple times with antiviruses, and it came out clean. In annoyance, I deleted the installer, since I already finished installing the software anyway. When the autorun triggers again, this tim

  2. installing a game

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
We regret the inconvenience caused to you.

Please try the steps given below and check if the issue persists:

    Step 1:

I suggest you to right click on the game and try to run as administrator and check.

Step 2: if that doesn't help I suggest you to install game in compatibility mode and check:

Follow the steps below on how to install game in compatibility mode:

    1. Download the game from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

    2. Right click on the setup file of the game and select “Properties”.

    3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

    4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

    5. Let the game install and then check the functionality.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Installation media boots to command prompt

I've just booted from known working install media to see exactly what it does when booting. The sequence of events is...

    1. Windows logo on a black screen
    2. circling dots appear beneath the logo
    3. light blue 'Please wait' screen with circling dots
    4. a command prompt window (very briefly)
    5. the initial Setup page appears

Do you see steps 1-3? If so, it appears you have stopped at step 4, suggesting that something on the disc cannot be read.

Does the disc boot properly in another machine? If so, try cleaning the laptop's drive lens then try booting from the disc again.

If not, make new install media with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool, either as a bootable USB, on an ISO that you can burn to another disc. At Step 8 in Option One of this tutorial you can choose between making a USB or an ISO.

    Download Windows 10 ISO File
