Hello, can someone please help me why my game icon is turning like this?

Thank you for providing us the troubleshooting steps that you have performed.

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.

  Under Compatibility tab, check the option for ‘Run in Compatibility mode’.

  Select Windows 8.1 from the drop down list.
  
• 
  Click on Apply and then OK.

I appreciate your reply. It seems that the game progress was saved to your Xbox account associated on your computer that's why you can't play the game from the beginning. I recommend that you remove the account on your computer by performing the following
steps:

1. Press the Windows icon, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Under Email & app accounts, click the Microsoft account, then click Remove.

I also suggest that you reset the Xbox app on your computer so that we could ensure that no account is linked to it. To get started, kindly follow these steps:

1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
2. Go to Apps.
3. Under Apps & features, locate the Xbox app.
4. Click the Xbox app, then select Advanced options.
5. Click Reset.

According to your description, I knew that some icons for games you downloaded from Xbox are missing.



First of all, it is recommended that you try the solutions below to try and rebuild these shortcuts for these games.

1. Right-click the shortcuts of these abnormal icons > Open file location, If there is still a shortcut in the opened folder, repeat step 1,
   
2. then find the executable file (.exe file) of the corresponding game,
   
3. then delete the shortcut of the corresponding game on the desktop,
   
4. then right-click the .exe file > Send to > Desktop Shortcut.
   

Sorry, you'll have to repeat the above for every game with an abnormal icon.



This can also happen if your game has been uninstalled or its location has changed.
