Windows 10: Game installed via Steam not working on specific Windows account

Hello! I recently contacted Bethesda support after experiencing an issue with the game Doom that I installed via Steam. There was a blue error window flashing every time I tried launching the game and it just kept crashing. Bethesda support first checked my dxdiag and msinfo files and then suggested to try launching the game in a different Windows environment. So I created a new Windows account, tried launching the game there and it worked. So now they recommended to contact Microsoft support to help me fix the issue on my original Windows account. I hope someone can help. Thank you in advance

Step 2, is to "Verify Integrity Of Game Cache" for specific or all games or reinstall specific game, then see if icons work for that specific game.

 

Cannot install a game through Steam

I would like to replace it Windows 10 Home, however I am worried that I would need another license. Would this be the case?

I have tried the Steam forums before, which includes the troubleshooting steps listed here. Its strange mostly because this has not happened with any other game installed through Steam except for this one.

 

Steam games do not work after latest update

Issues in launching Steam games after the Windows 10, version 1703 update may occur if Game Mode is disabled or the game components are corrupted.

• Were you asked to uninstall the Steam games before installing the Windows 10, version 1703 update?
• Does the issue occur on other games aside from Steam games?
