Windows 10: Game loads but shows no background. All black. Game - New Yankee 10. From Shackwave

games loads. starts. when you press play, you can see characters, but no background. all black. tried to changed compatibility settings. have no idea what i am doing. but, like the new yankee series. have windows 7. is there a fix for this game. can anyone help with this *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Black Background while playing games

Hi, so ever since I got my new pc, I have been playing a few games here and there. These games were downloaded from the microsoft store and the majority have a black background. I know this should not be like this since I am playing a game I have before
on my old pc and it did not have a black background. To be more specific, I am not experiencing a black screen nor am I crashing but instead I am simply playing the game normally just without a background. I do not know what can be causing this and it is really
quite annoying. If this can be fixed, please let me know.

 

Hiding New Game Bar when Recording

Normally, You can play your games while recording it in the background. It seems that background recording is not enabled on your computer that's why the Game bar is showing up when playing your games. Let's check if background recording is enabled by performing
the following steps:

1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
2. Go to Gaming.
3. Select Game DVR.
4. Under Background Recording, check if the toggle switch is enabled.

Pre-loaded games won't uninstall

I'm not really into some of the games that were pre-loaded into my PC but when I try to bring up the games from the Start menu and click on 'uninstall' it takes me to the control panel, and I don't see the games listed there for me to uninstall. Suggestions, please? Thanks! ~P
