Windows 10: Games are unplayable after latest windows update

Hi,My PC was working fine till couple of weeks ago, and I was able to play all the games on my system without any issue. But after the some of the latest windows updates, the gaming performance has become really bad and most of the games are unplayable. I used to get consistent 60 fps on Mafia Definitive Edition, now its single digit fps. I have same issue with bunch of other games except few games like Skyrim SE and Dishonored: death of the outsider, which are working fine. I have added the games in the windows graphics settings it is overriding the Nvidia 3D application settings, not sure

Wordament update has made wordament unplayable

I was asked to update Wordament but each time it moves me forward for having got certain points for a level, when I go back to play it all words havegone. The stars are there but basically the game is unplayable. Any suggestions as to how I can put this
right, please.

 

Windows Update - gaming lag...unplayable

Windows 10 was just updated yesterday 5/29/2020 with a link given to me from a Microsoft advisor. Now my games are unplayable with lag. When I used the settings check for updates, there were none available and I was already up to date. If I check my
update history, it is gone...nothing in update history?? If I go to recovery and uninstall updates to a previous build, it states I would have to reinstall some programs & apps! What can I do to go back to a previous build?

 

Game play is unplayable after 20minutes

after 20 minutes off game play no matter what game i'm playing getting so much stuttering and lag that its unplayable after 20minutes intill i restart my pc then im ok for another 20minutes i installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 April 2018 and have updated
it since but before this i had no problems whats so ever and that was from an old windows 10 build so my guess is the windows 10 april 2018 edition!?

my specs....

MSI SEA HAWK 1080 GTX with corsair water cooler (around 42c in game play)

intel i7 6700k @4.00Ghz (around 36c in game play)

64gb ddr4 3200Mhz ram

3440 x 1440 60Hz monitor

installed the latest nvidia drivers/bios update and installed all the latest drivers etc...

my power managment is set to high performance

and have nothing else running in the background while playing games
