Windows 10: Games aren't running as well.

Sorry if this is the wrong sub, i'm not sure where else I could go with this Anyway, my PC usually runs games at 144+ FPS but suddenly i'm only getting about half that. Earlier today I was playing Batman: Arkham Origins locked at 144 suddenly its running at 50 in-game. The only thing I can think of that would make my PC like this is I disabled Windows Search and I had accidentally pressed "rebuild" in Indexing Options.

PC Specs:

Intel Core i5-6600K Asus Z170-A EVGA GTX 1070 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX

If anyone could help I would gladly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Icons from apps aren´t displayed correctly

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query at Microsoft community.

Do the apps work fine apart form the icons not displaying correctly? If so I would suggest you to run an SFC scan and check if it helps. If the issue persists you may run DISM command and check.

Follow this steps:

• • 
    Press Windows+X.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt (Admin).
    
  • 
    Type the command SFC /SCANNOW and
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and hit
    Enter.

The native apps from the system are all showing this strange square instead of the normal icons. Please help resolve this problem. Thanks

You may also try installing the game in compatibility mode.
Follow these steps to install the game software in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

        Right-click on the game setup file and click on
        ‘properties’.
        
      • 
        Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box
        ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
        

If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to get in touch with the game manufacturer if it’s specific to that particular game.
