Windows 10: Games Crashing After Trying Everything

I have had my pc since late 2018, and since then noticed constant crashing to the desktop in just about every game. I have tried just about everything to fix it from doing a proper reset of my PC with the media installation key, i have kept my drivers up to date, monitored temps (not overheating), scanned HDD for errors (none), ran lower settings in games, tried runnings games on each drive, HDD and SSD, i still crash to the desktop. I have ran a stress test on my RAM and came back with not a single error. Also tried furmark and that went fine. I have replaced my CPU and GPU, still crash. Gone through all my cables and made sure they are all fully plugged in, disabled anti virus and also removed it, also even tried disabling firewall. Tried disconnecting peripherals. I have been onto event viewer and managed to fix a couple errors, but with each game i play and each error i fix comes new ones. I am also not overclocked and nothing is overheating. I have narrowed it down to my motherboard which seems like a reasonable way my games could be crashing, maybe a damaged DIMM slot? Just wondering if i should replace my motherboard or if there are other ways i should try fox it before. Also i am supplying enough wattage to my pc and am meeting the minimum specs for all games.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: MSI GTX 1660 Gaming X 6gb

PSU: Corsair CX 650w

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb 2400mhz

Motherboard: MSI B450M pro-m2

HDD: Seagate 2tb

SSD: 128gb m.2



Also got 4 rgb case fans, 3 intake, 1 exhaust. Dust isn't clogging anything up and airflow is great.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

1) Do you receive any error message, while game get crashed?

2) Is the issue confined to War games only?

This issue might occur, if graphics driver is not updated properly.

I would suggest you to update your graphics driver and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

  Press Windows + R key on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
  
• 
  Expand the Display adapter.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select Update driver software.

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
