  1. Games crashing on Windows 11 but not immediately

Hi,Recently I built a new PC with Windows 11, I have been gaming on this PC for about 3 months and I had no problems with my games crashing but as of yesterday my games have started crashing in 2 to 30 minutes of me starting up my game. I'm running Windows 11 22621.2134, 22H2.When my game crash it doesn't show an error message but the game just closes. I have tried reinstalling the games, update my GPU drivers to the latest version and scan my PC for any corrupt files. Non-gaming applications are not suffering form any crashing issues e.g. Chrome doesn't crash, neither does Steam or Discord,

    :)

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

  3. Games crashing on Windows 11 but not immediately

    Hi,

Recently upgraded my PC to windows 11 as I got an i7-12700k (Along with a new Z690 motherboard and 2x16GB DDR4). Did a clean reinstall after upgrading and fully wiped the C: drive in the process, when using the PC for non-gaming stuff it appears to be happy. No BSODs, no random restarts or anything, but when playing a massive amount of games for an extended period of time, they all crash. This can be anything from 15 minutes to about 2 hours, but these were games that were happy before and never exhibited these kinds of issues.

I'm running Windows 11 22621.675, 22H2 and can't revert updates due to reinstalling Windows 11 cleanly afterwards.

*sometimes* they will produce an application error (error 1000) with code 0xc0000005 in the event viewer. I'm under the impression this is a memory related issue but I've tried loops of GPU benchmarks on my GPU and it has no problems with its VRAM and now 3 separate memory diagnostic tests on the RAM with no faults detected. I also ran the RAM through an hour of OCCT's RAM benchmarking to check for errors and still found none. I've also tried running with compatibility modes on for these games but that's had no impact.

No casual / non-gaming applications are suffering from crashing issues (e.g. Chrome doesn't crash, neither does Steam or Discord or Edge or even something like Visual Studio), Windows 11 never produces any other info about what might go wrong, the games simply do an immediate crash out randomly whilst playing but the system is clearly fine after they crash as well.

The games appear to be running flawlessly until they crash, there's no other signs of system instability or parts performing poorly / incorrectly. I'm no longer sure what could be causing these consistent problems when gaming given what I've tested already and any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Games crashing on Windows 11 but not immediately

    Hi,

There's no minidump folder at all in my C:\Windows\, so I assume it hasn't been creating any. The OS never crashes when these games crash, I could simply reopen the games after they crash just that the applications themselves have now begun consistently crashing during use on a fresh Windows 11.
