Windows 10: Games crashing - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s.

Hi everyone,Around maybe 6 weeks ago a couple of games, including Valorant and Dead by Daylight started crashing for me every time I tried to launch the game.The riot client is fine when booting up. But when I try to launch Valorant for example, I get the error:"A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated.Would you like to create a crash dump to aid the developers in troubleshooting this issue? This may take up to 5 minutes."Inside of my dmp file I'm searching and I can see various errors such as:Code:EXCEPTION_RECORD: .exr -1ExceptionAddress: 00007ffd3f7819e9 VCRUNT

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving this issue. I understand you get an error when you try to launch a game. It would be great if you can share the details requested below:

• Which game are you trying to launch?
  
• Do you get a Blue screen error when you launch the game?
  
• Does the issue occur only with one particular game?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer currently? To check type: winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit Enter.
  

If you are receiving a Blue Screen error, I would suggest you to share the Minidump files with us, so that we can analyze them and get to the root cause of the issue. To share the dump files, navigate to
C:\Windows\Minidump, upload the files to OneDrive and share the OneDrive link.



Meanwhile, I would suggest you to perform a clean boot on the computer, try to launch the game and see if the game is crashing.



Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However,
that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

Hi again,

Okay I found something interesting using WinDbg - Crash Dump files.
I don't understand the contents although something pointed to memory.

EXCEPTION_PARAMETER1: 00000001

EXCEPTION_PARAMETER2: 00000000
