Windows 10: Games Crashing with Exception c0000005 Access violation

Hello!


I am a newbie in computers and recently I built my own computer. Everything went well for the first couple of weeks and suddenly my games start crashing to desktop Dota 2 and Valorant. I tried to use windbg preview and found out that it is caused by Exception code c0000005 Access violation. I attached two dump files both from Dota 2 and Valorant hoping that maybe you can help me resolve this issue.

My temps both in GPU and CPU are also fine btw.


Quick Specs:

- AMD Ryzen 3 3300X non overclocked

- Asrock b450m Steel Legend

- Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 cl16 2x8 gig

- GTX 1660 super

- 650 W power supply


The following are the things that I have done so far but unfortunately none of these solved the issue:

- Changed virtual memory

- Uninstalled-reinstalled games

- Re-installed drivers used DDU for GPU

- Reinstalled windows

- swapped out RAM and GPU

- reassembled the whole PC

- memtest86 for RAM 2 passes no error

Exception Code: c0000005 is an access violation. I would do as Black Panther suggests.
Something is amiss.

 

Windows 10 1803 Upgrade fails with Access violation - code c0000005 error?

I am attempting to upgrade my custom built PC from Windows 10 1709.

I have tried doing this a few different ways, first through the standard Windows Update Prompt, then twice through the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant. Each time the Update seems to be successful, until about a 3rd of the way through when it inevitably crashes and restores to the old version.

At the suggestion of an IT professional, I ran SetupDiag.exe to diagnose the issue. The result is that there was an Exception thrown, with the error:

Access violation - code c0000005 (first/second chance not available)

and

Failed to request MethodData, not in JIT code range
GetUrlPageData2 (WinHttp) failed: 12002.

If it helps with debugging this, the computer has a 1080Ti, Asus Z170-A Mobo, no 3rd party antivirus, and no running 3rd party processes during the install (manually closed them). Bitlocker was suspended for the upgrade as well.

Bios is updated to the latest version, as are the video driver and other misc drivers for other hardware parts.

How can I successfully update to the latest Windows 10 Feature Release?

I am using a Bernina Embroidery Software 7 program that has worked just fine, until now, with my Windows 8. Now I installed it in windows 10 and it gives the following error

Exception Access Violation

Exception code: c0000005.

Exception flags: 0.

Exception address: 748857c2

Number of Parameters: 2.

Start-up address: 00409f20

Off Set Exception: 7447b8a2

I have tried few times to open this program and each time I get this message, but the Exception address and Off-Set Exception numbers change

each time.

Please advise.
