Windows 10: Games freeze for several seconds at a time

Hello everyone,My laptop has started freezing during gaming. The freezing is frequent and lasts for about 10-15 seconds at a time. Also, the games I play aren't that graphically demanding. I've no idea why this has started happening and can't figure out what's causing the problem. I only have Intel integrated graphics on my laptop, and I use the latest drivers. I've tested my RAM using MemTest86 and my SSD using 'chkdsk' and found no issues. I've also used System File Checker to repair a couple of corrupted files.Here are the main specs of my Lenovo Ideapad S340 l

I suggest to run the game in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if it helps.

  Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the game and click on properties.
