Windows 10: Games freeze on PC at random points, PC works but am forced to log off or shutdown.

HelloI recently got a brand new PC and for the past month I've had an issue where any game I play can randomly slow down over the space of a second or two and then crash. The screen will freeze and I'll be unable to tab out to other windows, I will be able to see those windows just not leave my game windows, which will turn black after I have attempted to do so. I can also see other programs appear and disappear as their usage changes, so it just seems to be my game that is having issues, nothing else. This has happened across 2 games I own, twice on one and once on the other, so it isn't down

Random freezes or shut downs

Completely random freezing/shutdowns on a system with no recent hardware changes, and hard drive, memory, and PSU fine, usually means a software issue (file corruption or malicious software). I suggest following DavidV's recommendations.

 

pc wont shutdown

restarting wont work.

yes its a trusted website.

and ive been using force shutdown, its the only way i can turn my pc off.

 

random shutdown problem in event log

im expierenceing random shutdowns when playing games but the wierd part is is that the mouse stays on and the keybaord. and when i wiggle the mouse the computer boots up.

would this weird error be an error in the the event log.
if so what would it be under????
