Windows 10: Games keep crashing on my computer after a couple of minutes

As you've read in the title, this is my issue. I got my pc a year back October and it was running perfectly till recently August when it would start crashing after a certain amount of time in game. The amount of time it takes to crash actually has continually reduced. I've tried trouble shooting in many ways such asChecking if memory is running fine using windows memory diagnosticsUpdating all my drivers including deleting and reinstalling fresh driversUpdating windowsAnd most recently last night I reset my pc which means I deleted all data on my drives and freshly installed windows again.

Computer Crashes when playing games


I have tried the BIOS update. Testing at max graphic setting temp cap at 60 fps, at first it seem promising at 1st and 2nd game session. But after that the during the first couple of minutes starting up the game, the computer would either suddenly restart or freeze. When it doesn't crash during the first couple of minutes then the computer is fine throughout the game session.

Sorry for the late reply, I was busy and using my old computer.

• Yes and I encounter the error every couple of minutes.
• The computer was fine for around 2 months. I played a lot of video games on it and at some point it started to crash like crazy. I installed the game since I got the computer and almost no changes were made after that.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?
