Windows 10: Games launching to a black screen. Some will briefly play audio. All of them crash immediately.

Recently, all of my games starting crashing after launch. Some of them will allow audio to play briefly and show a black screen with the game's mouse cursor such as BG3, and others will not get past an initial black screen and immediately crash such as Gloomhaven and AOW4. For whatever reason, League of Legends is the only game that still launches and allows me to play it, but if I try to tab out of the game while running, it will also crash. It does not matter if the game is launched through Epic Games, Steam, the specific games' launcher such as Larian launcher or Paradox launcher, or

Black Screen Crash, Audio Still Plays

Okay, following the steps you just provided has proven that the problem is indeed linked to the graphics card. I can play games without the black screen crash occurring, however, the games run very poorly and are very lag-heavy. Also, the HDMI port on
the card is not working, which is odd because the VGA port on the card works. I've tried installing older drivers, first those from August and then those from January, and both cause the black screen crash issue to happen again. Does this mean I need to buy
a new graphics card?

try disabling the audio in the BIOS. play with no audio and see if it still crash.
