Windows 10: Games minimizing at random

Hello.


I have an issue that while playing any game in full screen it minimizes without crashing (most of the time). I have seen several posts in various places about this after googling it but i have not found a solution to the problem. Most of them suggest disabling an update thing for Office but at this point i have not installed office yet. The computer i am using is a fresh build with Windows 10 pro and NOD 32 antivirus installed.


The problem started suddenly without me making any changes to my system. I was happily playing one day and the next this happens. I tried to disable notifications and also set my antivirus to game mode. I also tried to play with game mode for windows on and off with no results. I also tried a virus scan with no threats found. I even tried to reformat the drive and start fresh but it did not help. The issue happens on Steam and non steam games and i notice a window popping up from time to time in my taskbar that i think is responsible for stealing the focus of my games but it happens so fast that i cannot see what it is.


I hope someone will help as this is getting infuriating and i don't have the same issue on my laptop that is also windows 10 pro

• Is the issue particular to a game or all games?
• Do you get any error message?
• Which build is installed in your computer?
• Is the issue occurring with Windows Store games?

I suggest you to update the Graphic card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.
