    Games / Other windows popping up over background when alt tabbing


    I'm having an issue that drives me insane.

    The best I can do is try to explain it.

    When I play any games. If I want to alt tab to desktop, I have to first alt tab to something else, then hit the show desktop tab. Once I do that, if I click ANYTHING ELSE RUNNING, like if I want to bring up a notepad while looking at my desktop. It'll place the game i'm playing back up in the background. I don't want it to keep filling in my background with my game or other programs... I want it to stay... on my desktop.

    It's like Windows 10 refuses to just keep things I minimized, minimized. Sometimes it just minimizes to a program and leaves the game covering the task bar at the bottom.

    Is there any way to fix this?

    alt + tab not working

    i always just use the windows key to get back to the desktop [pops up the start dealy, doesn't need anything to alt+tab to]

    Alt+Tab only works if there is something in the background to switch to. If there is nothing to switch to (the game that has focus is the only thing running), the command isn't executed.
