Windows 10: Games stuttering after Windows Update 2023-04 Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for...

Hi, Yesterday after Windows forced an update through my computer, my games have started stuttering to the point they are unplayable and this is not localised to one game but ALL games. I had to check what update took place via the Reliability Monitor and it showed a Windows update had automatically pushed itself through even though it wasn't supposed to and it updated my AMD drivers at the same time, annoyingly. I have tried to manually uninstall the windows update but it does not give me the option to do so, it doesn't even show the update as something I can uninstall. I tried to restore my c

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Failure to install - Monthly cumulative update for Windows 10

Hi,

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (21H2) is using in my company.

All monthly update failure to install. Windows 10 will undo for those updates.

• 2023-04 Cumulative update for Windows Version 21H2 for x64 based Systems (KB5025221)

2) The Display driver is so important that merely updating it might not be enough. Try everything here to make sure:

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files, and also Step 16 to test a new Local Admin account. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most thoroughly.

3) If nothing else works then do a Repair Install, by installing Media Creation Tool, open tool and choose to Upgrade Now. This reinstalls Windows while keeping files, programs and most settings in place, is the most stable method to advance to the latest version, and solves most problems. But remember that in Windows 10 everything depends upon the quality of the install, and Factory or Upgrade installs are inferior installs which most enthusiasts won't even run because they'd expect endless issues. The reason I suggest this is that no one who has adopted the install in the above link has ever come back to report further problems I've seen, including another version failure. This is because everything in Windows 10 is dependent upon the quality of the install, especially Version Updates which will choke on lesser quality installs, and there is no possibility of problems if you stick ONLY with the steps, tools and methods in that tutorial.

It is also one of life's great learning experiences that will permanently make you the master of your PC because you will learn everything that works best and how to keep it that way.
