Windows 10: games wont make sounds

so my sound in games just suddenly cut out while i was playing and I couldn't figure out why and when I looked it up and found some solutions but none of them worked properly I found one that told me to uninstall the sound device and then restart my computer which worked originally but eventually the sound cut out again and i have had to keep doing this just to be able to have sound while i play the annoying thing is that it is just my games and stuff that aren't working as microsoft edge is working with sound just fine. Does anyone know a permanent fix to this

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

Do you get sound with basic windows drivers?

I suggest you try the following steps:

Follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Right on the start icon and click on device manager
  
• 
  Expand Sound video and Gaming , Select the Audio adapter, right click on un-install.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
