Windows 10: Gaming issues after installing 1909?

After a bit of research, i've discovered that 1903 sucked balls for gaming- but I was doing alright then. But now, on 1909, I'm getting all of those samw issues-- frame drops, random crashing, games rendered unplayable due to the fact that they use 95-99% of my CPU.

I've done all of the troubleshooting I can do- I messed around with the RAM, reinstalled and unzipped OpenGL (because Steam told me too), and consequently realized way too late that rolling back Windows to 1903 might fix it.

Other than what I've said, I have no clue whaf exactly is wrong.

I'm on Lenovo IdeaPad, it's about 3-4 years old Intel(R) Core i7-3520M processor, i've got 8 gigs of ram, most of which are usable. I'm also on a 64bit system.

I can provide any other specs that might be needed, but I'm still learning about computers so i dont really know what all I should list.

Any help is appreciated!

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

I suggest you to right click on the game and try to run as administrator and check.

Step 2: if that doesn't help I suggest you to install game in compatibility mode and check:

Follow the steps below on how to install game in compatibility mode:

1. Download the game from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the game and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.

5. Let the game install and then check the functionality.
