Windows 10: GAMING PC was STOLEN. i had FIND MY PC turned on but now location is disabled.

So last week on tuesday while my girlfriend and i were both at work our house was broken into and my custom gaming rig along with a diamond necklace i just bought her for christmas and a bunch of other random items were stolen. I know that i had find my pc turned on but somehow they have managed to disable the location and also changed the device name to my pc, Yet my microsoft account is still linked to the pc. Thats how i know the name was changed obviously. My question, Is there anything at all that can be done to at least see the last location where it was before it was disabled or anythin

Thanks for the additional suggestions. I did chat with a Microsoft rep today, and they advised me to activate the product key on my new PC which will deactivate the license on the stolen one. I asked if they could deactivate the stolen key right now, but they said they cannot.

Not even necessary if you use a MS account the next time. You can turn on device Location in All settings/Privacy/Location/'Location for this device'/On. Then when you sign into your MS account on accounts.microsoft.com, it shows you on a map where your device is within a few blocks. Clicking on the map gives you blowup view too. At least would have given you a rough location on your stolen PC. *Mad

 

STOLEN PHONE

If your phone is off then it was either shut off or the battery is dead (or possibly in a location where there is no signal).

If you are sure it was stolen then I suggest the following:

• contact your provider and disable the SIM/service
• You can still and should click the ERASE button on the page I posted above just in case someone does find the phone and turns it on. Hopefully you use a PIN code to prevent unauthorized access.
