  1. Garmin device connection issues

I have a Garmin Forerunner 920xt that until recently would connect to my Dell XPS 940 computer running Windows 11. Two days ago I tried to connect the device through a USB cable and got the following errors “Unknown device device descriptor request failed” and “Windows has stopped this device because it reported an error code 43”. Has anyone else seen this error and is there a fix for it?

    :)

  2. Garmin Connection Issue

Thanks for the response. I have tried all the suggestions from NC and nothing worked.

In frustration, I checked out the Devices and Printers, then checked properties, of the USB Mass Storage then " Hardware" where the "Garmin garmin Flash USB Device" was listed. I then highlighted it and clicked on properties which showed "the device is
working properly". Having remembered that the device showed up in Device Manager as "Disk Drives" under which it was listed again as "garmin GARMIN Flash USB Device" , I selected the "Change Device Settings" tab and under device type there were two listings
    - System Reflection Flash Boot and Disk Drive. I selected disk drive and then OK upon which the Hardware listing changed and an addition of Garmin - Portable Device showed up.

This now produced a pop up window which showed my Garmin Edge device and asked what to do with unknown device and upon closing this window, Garmin Express opened and everything is now working properly.

I hope this information helps others who are searching for a resolution to windows 10 issues with Garmin connections and incorrect windows settings.

    Issued Solved.

  3. Garmin Connection Issue

    My problem:

    My problem:

Using windows 10 Pro 64 bit and upgraded Motherboard, CPU and Memory. Everything is working well except I am no longer able to get the PC to recognize my Garmin Edge 510 device and after calling Garmin, installing updated software and drivers I have not
been able to resolve the issue. When the 510 device is connected via USB I get the familiar beeps but the unit does not show in explorer or on the USB safe removal icon. When I open Devices and Printers it is listed as a mass "USB Storage Device". In properties
there are two drivers shown, "Garmin GARMIN Flash USB Device" (Tyte - Disk Drive) and ESB Mass Storage Device (type - Universal Serial Bus Controller) with drivers as System Reflection Flash Boot and USB Mass Storage Device respectively. As this issue has
only happened with the hardware upgrade, a reinstall of windows 10 and the device shows and works in windows 7 32 bit on my old computer there must be some issue with the settings or drivers loaded for the new clean installation of windows 10. Any advise on
what steps I need to look into and how I can resolve the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I have installed Garmin Express - Version 4.1.25.0

    USB Drivers_2311

    Communicator Plug In _420 and

    WebUpdater- Windows XPSP3andnewer - 256 without success.

    Please advise,

    Regards Darrell.
