  1. Gateway laptop running Windows 11 stuck in BIOS

Laptop restarted randomly while working online and when it came back on it went into BIOS, I went directly to save and exit without changing anything. After a black screen came up, for a few seconds then right back into BIOS. I am not a tech savvy person so rather than start clicking on things I began the power off power on 3 times process in order to bring up the troubleshoot or advanced restart screen but it went right back into BIOS. I am out of options that I am willing to try without it coming from a source I trust so here I am. I can follow instructions so if anyone has had this problem

    :)

  2. Gateway laptop stuck on gateway screen help

My Gateway laptop was running on windows 10. Windows ran some updates. Its now unable to get passed the Gateway screen.

    In bios I tried

    • disabling csm support
    • disabling secure boot mode
    • changing the boot order to prioritize the usb
I have tried using windows 10 creating bootable usb

    1. I click install and it takes me to windows setup where I accept the license terms and hit next
    2. WINDOWS SETUP WINDOW Two options are Given
    • UPGRADE- not available if you start your computer using windows media
    • CUSTOM- It asks where i want to install Windows / A warning sign at the bottom reads --windows can't be installed on this drive--

      INSIDE THE WINDOWS SETUP MENU
    • Drive 0 Unallocated space....... total size 0.0MG....free space 0.0MG
    • a few options at the bottom read refresh, delete, format, new. load driver, extend.
    • if I choose load and browse media selecting the usb, I get an error that no drivers were found. there's no room to format... IS MY SSD not recognized?
IF I TRY TROUBLESHOOTING AT THE ADVANCED OPTIONS

    • Startup Repair - could not repair your PC
I dont think my SSD is being recognized...

I am unsure of what configurations in BIOS could be made to fix this issue.

Gateway laptop stuck on gateway screen help

It seems like your SSD is not being recognized by your computer. Here are some things you can try to fix this issue:

    1. Make sure that the SSD is properly connected. Check the connections to the motherboard and the power supply.
    2. Try a different SATA port. Sometimes, a SATA port can be faulty. Try connecting the SSD to a different SATA port.
    3. Change the SATA mode. Your SSD may be in IDE mode instead of AHCI mode. Change the SATA mode in BIOS and see if that fixes the problem.
    4. Update the BIOS. A BIOS update can sometimes fix problems with hardware recognition.
    5. Reset the BIOS to factory defaults. This will erase all of your BIOS settings, so make sure to back up your BIOS settings before you do this.
If you have tried all of the above and the problem is still not fixed, you may need to replace the SSD.

Here are the steps on how to change the SATA mode in BIOS:

    1. Boot your computer into BIOS.
    2. Find the SATA mode setting. The setting may be called "SATA Operation" or something similar.
    3. Change the SATA mode to AHCI.
    4. Save your BIOS settings and exit BIOS.
Once you have changed the SATA mode, restart your computer and see if the SSD is recognized.

If you are still having problems, you can contact Gateway support for help.

Gateway laptop running Windows 11 stuck in BIOS

    reloading windows in gateway laptop

Hi guys, first thx for your posts. It looks like that: this isn't my first time with win reinstalation but first time with laptop. A few days ago I had problem with desktop (gateway), Bios upgrade, and everything was about "bios tatooing by gateway". I thought I have the same problem with laptop, gateway did something. I was using win98 start disc, because I didn't know how to get into the DOS, but no results. The most stupid thing is, after I made new partitions, reformated'em, I went into the bios and IDE 0 - nothing, IDE - 1 cdrw/dvd drive. In that case I suspect my HDD. About trivial suggestion (I think it isn't trivial, it's a very common mistake), when I removed CD, there is message "OS not found", but I know, I don't have to do it, that problem was with 3.5" drive during win95, 98. Anyway, what do you think now, should I order new HDD?? the old is samsung made, my opinion about samsung HDD is ... (I shouldn't write it here, too much s... and f...)*Smile Gateway laptop running Windows 11 stuck in BIOS :) - I prefer WD or Maxtor, eventually Seagate...thx for every post
