Windows 10: Gateway laptop stuck at Gateway logo following Windows 11 update

My Gateway laptop auto installed an update. When it restarted, it popped a screen to finish account set up, which I had done years ago at this point. It then completely froze and now at power up it just sits at the Gateway logo screen forever. I can't get into any boot sequence or BIOs screens to try to do any recovery. What now?

Computer stuck on Gateway's logo during reboot

After the Windows 10 update yesterday, my computer won't reboot - it's stuck at the manufacturer's logo (Gateway). I've tried restarting numerous times to no avail - tried to get into safe mode by the rebooting three times but since the computer gets
stuck at the logo it doesn't give me the option to go into safe mode. Any suggestions?

A friend of mine had the same problem with his gateway laptop. Gateway didn't supply him with an original windows CD and instead forced him to burn a copy from a partition on his hard drive. It turned out that the CD he had burned was corrupt and that was what was causing the failed install. He got a new copy from bestbuy and that allowed him to install windows without any problems.

So is your CD an original windows CD or is it a recovery CD burned from a partition on your hard drive?

I had this exact same issue with a Dell laptop which has an Intel wireless adapter.
