Windows 10: Gateway wgu-210 usb wireless G adapter cant install

I have the driver for it, but since it is an old device, it is blocked as it does not meet requirements today.
My thinking it is not digitally signed.
I have the OEM original windows install disk. I dont think Gateway computers put viruses on the CD!




How can it be forced to install?

USB or PCI wireless adapter?

Okay, well i managed to lose my linksys wireless G+speedbooster usb adapter in a move so i'm looking for a new way to connect, but only looking to spend ~$30 max.

Now for a while i stole my brothers while in ohio *Big Grin , and it performed better than mine but was only Wireless G, yet it could connect to our neighbor's net while mine with speedbooster couldn't.

Now i've been eyeing the Zonet Wireless G adapter simply because the mass positive reviews, price, and because of the good experience i had with my brother's adapter that had its own little box.

So i'm inquiring if the wireless adapters that are in their own lil package are better than the strait plug in adapters like my previous one. Is it because the adapter is further from all the electric jazz in my desktop that my brother's performed better? Or should i go with a PCI adapter since it provides a better connection; i have no other PCI device installed either so it'd get the full PCI bandwidth.

 

Wireless adapter installation.

Hey. I just wanna make this short and sweet. All I wanna know is why I can't install/update wireless adapter drivers on Vista 64 bit but it works on 32 bit? On my wireless adapter box, it doesn't say Vista compatible (only XP and 2000) but if 32 bit Vista works, 64 bit should. Because when I do a fresh install of Vista for an example, all I do is update the driver in device manager then I'm on the net but with 64 bit it don't work. And how can I find out the manufacturer of my wireless adapter? Or brand etc. It came in a BT box, a small one. Just says Wireless USB adapter. I dunno if BT has a driver section.
