Windows 10: Geeting back to WINDOWS 10 and MS OFFICE

MY laptop ran into problem after an incomplete update on 15th OCT 23. As none of the remedy worked and the machine was in a STOP CODE ERROR loop, I'd to do clean installation of WINDOWS 8.1. Prior to this incident I was using Windows 10 upgrade and I also lost MS OFFICE. Having successfully reinstated my laptop, i would like to get back to WINDOWS 10 and MS Office now. Kindly advice. Office 2019

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

Try the commands and check if the MS Office is available on your computer. Try the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows + R and type winword.exe
  and hit enter.
  
• 
  If MS word open up MS Office is available on the system.
  

If not, you have to install it again from the store.

MS office keeps crashing when interacting with windows 10

Follow these steps to fix your MS Office

Exit all the Office applications, first.

1. Start Registry Editor. To do this, use one of the following procedures, as appropriate for your version of Windows.
   
   • Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8ress Windows Key + R to open a Run dialog box. Type regedit.exe and then press OK.
   • Windows 7: Click Start, type regedit.exe in the search box, and then press Enter.
2. Locate and then select the following registry key:
   
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\General
   
3. Locate the ShownFirstRunOptin registry value in the key that is specified in step 3. If you do not find ShownFirstRunOptin, go to step 5. If you do find it, go to step 7.
   
4. If you do not find the ShownFirstRunOptin registry value, point to New on the Edit menu, and then click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
   
5. Type ShownFirstRunOptin, and then press ENTER.
   
6. Right-click ShownFirstRunOptin, and then click Modify.
   
7. In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
   
8. On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.
