    GeForce 9200 Win 10 driver 341.92 breaks NVidia Control Panel


    A recent update replaced the NVidia driver 341.74 (9.18.13.4174) with 341.92. After the update, the NVidia Control Panel triggered a "stopped working" error, and the program needed to be closed. I removed all the NVidia drivers and software, rebooted, and the new driver reloaded with the same outcome.

    When I rolled the driver back to the previous version, the Control Panel worked again.

    PC is HP m8530fk, AMD Phenom X4, 2.2 GHz, 5GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive.

    It absolutely did not help. I have spent hours trying to undo what the last update did. I have uninstalled the driver, and done a clean install. It works great until I shutdown and come back the next day or hours later. Then it's back to the same stretched
    screen and Microsoft update and the nvidia updates say everything is okay, you have the latest drivers. If that is the case, why don't they work properly? How do I fix it?

    NVIDIA Geforce Driver - Windows 10 Pro, 64 Bit Anniversary Edition (Desktop PC)

    NVIDIA GeForce Driver 341.96 (Newest Driver) keeps reverting back to GeForce Driver Ver. 341.92 (Previous Driver)

    every time Windows 10 Pro Anniversary Edition performs a Windows update (auto or manual).

    It also performed the same way with Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.

    Video Card is GeForce 8800GTS
