Windows 10: GeForce Drivers for Windows 10 version 1809 now available for download

Microsoft released the Windows 10 October 2018 Update on October 2, to the general public skipping the Release Preview ring. The users started complaining that the update deleted their files stored in the libraries without any warning during installation.

Microsoft acknowledged the issue and has now blocked the Windows 10 October 2018 Update on Intel PCs with outdated/incompatible Intel Display Audio device driver.

Users with the incompatible Intel drivers will not be able to install the Windows 10 version 1809 update or the update will not show up via Windows Update unless the Intel drivers are updated on your PCs.

To avoid any such issues, NVIDIA has released the first GeForce drivers for Windows 10 version 1809. The company urges Windows 10 users to immediately install the new drivers as new OS updates could be affected by compatibility issues caused by driver software as is the case with Intel drivers.

The new NVIDIA graphics cards are now available for download with improved support for October 2018 Update which would mean that users will not combat any compatibility issues or bugs after installation of the new update.

The new GeForce 416.16 version update also fixes issues with games and applications on Windows 10. Earlier Windows 10 users complained of black square glitches in Quake HD Remix. The new driver update fixes the issue and also improves the performance especially when playing games like Rainbow 6.

However, NVIDIA has also reported a known bug where the Windows Media Player would crash. The company is currently working on a fix for the issue and the same should be released very soon.

GeForce driver download page shows incorrect windows version

Not sure if this is the correct place to post but anyhow: the GeForce driver download page on TPU (https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-geforce-graphics-drivers/) shows the incorrect Windows version for some of the drivers (underlined in blue in the attached image).

NVIDIA GeForce Driver Version 182.05 BETA Released

NVIDIA today also released new BETA GeForce driver version 182.05 for both Windows Vista and Windows XP. Some games will run a bit faster with this driver compared to the latest official version 181.22:

• Up to 8% performance increase in Fallout 3 at high resolution and AA.
• Up to 10% performance increase in F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.
• Up to 9% performance increase in Half-Life 2 at high resolution with AA.
• Up to 11% performance increase in Left 4 Dead at high resolution with AA.
• Up to 10% performance increase in Race Driver: GRID at high resolution and AA.

NVIDIA GeForce 3D Vision Driver Updated to Version 1.06

NVIDIA today published an updated GeForce 3D Vision driver that's meant to work with Windows Vista 32-bit and 64-bit versions. One of the requirements in order to install the 3D Vision driver is to have GeForce release 182.08 graphics drivers already on your PC (the download package contains the driver if you don't have it). Version 1.06 of the GeForce 3D Vision driver:

• Adds support for GeForce GTS 250.
• Adds support for Burnout Paradise Trial. Please visit the Burnout Paradise nZone.com website to download the trial version
• Fixed issue with NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Video Player which caused the video to be compressed horizontally
