Windows 10: general issues, or to not create problems once installed

MY opinion on Win10, after many good and very bad experiences, is once you have it up and running, don't uninstall parts, or disable parts of the Win10 unless you are absolutely sure you are not messing something up. It appears that is you uninstall one feature it may stop other features from work. I removed Cortana, by disabling it, and I ended up losing Edge Browser, and then the ability to log into my Admin and Hotmail admin for Win10.

It appears Win10 is very unforgiving, and the menu is so much different then Win8. I put this in the general section. Just my opinion on how to prevent major problems. I was lucky to only go through a small nightmare, and found a way top get it all working again. And I use the word lucky. And I have worked with computer for 30 years. If you install Win10, and it al works, just be thankful it's working and don't try too my experiments with options. Not saying it will screw up, but it is very easy to screw up. IMHO *Zip

Windows 10 creating empty folders.

I have this problem,

I am not convinced that it is an installation issue as Windows 10 Enterprise is working fully.

the only issue seems to be these GUID sandbox files that are created on a daily basis. (5,000+ per day).

If they are needed, they should not be created at the root level, and they should be deleted once no longer required.

 

There is a saying if it is not broke don't fix it as it only makes it worse Also I came across a problem that I managed to sort 2 SP1 packs went in, and messed up the visual on windows 10, ok on IE11. Would not let me uninstall one of them, managed to get into control panel Program and Features found them that way removed the 86 one 2010 one left the 205 64 one. rebooted the computer and now back as good as gold why it put both in beats me. found out one was fighting the other one.

Also good job I know a bit about computers otherwise could of ended up using explorer which I hate

 

You could say that's always been the case. I remember back in the XP days when people would customize their installs using nLite, and then consistently have trouble with stability. Those were also the days where people would complain of issues immediately after following any guide that Quack, err I mean BlackViper put on his site, leading to his nickname of QuackViper.

Windows 7 started the trend of being optimized out of the box, and it seems 8/8.1/10 all do the same.
