Windows 10: Generic Audio Driver Issue

I tried updating drivers, un and reinstall them didn't work. When I run the troubleshoot it says I have a GENERIC AUDIO DRIVER issue....anybody have any suggestions to how I can fix this?

I do not know how to fix this issue. The volume option on my right hand side has a red circle with a white X in it. I did this exact way to try to fix this issue

Start>Device mananger>Sound, video and game controllers(only one was under the category with a yellow triangle called-IDT high defenition audio CODEC)>Update Drivers>Browse my own(with subfolders because it told me without it there where none with drivers.)>And
then it just simply told me- Windows could not find any drivers for your device.

I don't know what to do I have looked up youtube videos i have done everything i knew i could do so please someone please i beg you just help me i am losing my sanity trying to fix this darn thing.

Hi,

Start - Settings - System - Notifications & Actions - Select which icons appear on

the taskbar make sure Volume is on - if already on Click OFF then back On. On

the Taskbar near the clock lower right click the little up arrow and make sure the

volume icon is not hidden.

Also Right Click Speaker near clock - Playback Devices - right click in the box area - check Show disable and disconnected devices. Highlight Speakers and on the lower Right click Properties check settings for Device Usage enabled and so on. Also do
same for Configure on Lower Left of that box.

1. Try a System Restore back to before this happened.

2. Try doing a "Refresh your PC without affecting your files" (or changing your personal settings) or even a Restore (removes programs).

3. Try doing a Reset (removes all programs and files).

Windows 10 includes special methods to Refresh (keep files and settings) or a Reset

(new install removing all).
