    Generic KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, ntkrnlmp.exe BSOD


    Hello,My GM had an BSOD today. I have tried figuring out what should be the issue, but I am having a hard time identifying the exact reason of why this BSOD shown up.I would love to get some guidance from an Microsoft expert on what to look for in the dumps in order to identify correctly and exactly the issue.     Kernel_security_check_failure bsod


    A few months back I built my first PC, since then I've intermittently been experiencing BSOD crashes.

    My computer crashes to a BSOD with the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error message but I've also rarely had the following BSODs:


    • DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
    • MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    • SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY

    That being said it's nearly always the KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE error; the other messages haven't happened more than once or twice each.

    I've attached the DM Log but I'm fairly new at this so please let me know if there is any other information that would help fix this.

    BSOD KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE (139)

    I've completed the steps. The third time running it it automatically opened recovery mode. None of the times it crashed a specific driver was mentioned on the BSOD itself.

    It created a single new minidump which I've added to the folder (BSOD KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE).

    BSOD involving ntoskrnl.exe

    Hi babazbabaz,

    The attached DMP file is of the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a) bug check.

    This bug check is issued if paged memory (or invalid memory) is accessed when the IRQL is too high. The error that generates this bug check usually occurs after the installation of a faulty device driver, system service, or BIOS.

    Lets try first the steps indicated in this link to troubleshoot the issue.
