Windows 10: Generic Non-PNP In Intel HD Graphics 4600

I have a frontech monitor, and my pc has intel hd graphics 4600. I cannot change the brightness since the monitor is non-pnp in device manager. What should I do to fix this issue?

I suggest you to download Windows 8.1 compatible Intel HD Graphics 4600 drivers from the following link:

Once you successfully download Windows 8.1 compatible Intel HD Graphics 4600 drivers, I suggest you to try to install them in compatibility mode and check.

Note: The above mentioned steps are also applicable to Windows 10.

Windows 10 detects 4 non existent monitors "Generic Non-PnP Monitor"

So I had this problem as well.

I heard a solution to enter BIOS and disable "Switchable graphics", but didn't have that as an option in my BIOS.

After much testing and failing, searching and testing again, I was helped by the youtube video from Alexander Schmidt ("Solving display problems on Windows 10 with Hyper-V and Intel HD 4600"). This made me realize it might be a bug in the driver that surface
when Hyper-V are installed.

I then inspected my driver, and found it to be a version from one year back (in 2016). So off I went to Internet at ("https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81496/Intel-HD-Graphics-4600"), downloaded the latest driver manually and finally, all my "Generic
non-PnP Display" disappeared from the "Device Manager" and from the screen settings in Windows.

• Download and install Speccy (when you click on it, download will immediately commence)
• Start Speccy
• Click on the "Graphics Button"
• Do a screenshot of the Graphics and post here
• It will display your current graphics driver and will look something like the screenshot I have posted below (please note where it says the driver version for my Intel HD graphics). Please click to expand the image below

You can find the driver another way that doesn't require a download. But by downloading Speccy, it means you will always have your full technical specifications readily available should the need arise
