Windows 10: Genuine Microsoft Number?

I was wondering if anyone could help me.


I was getting help for my PC, and I clicked through the Get Help app, and it said that Microsoft was currently having a backlog, so I selected the option "call me back".


So, a few minutes later, I get a call from + 4 4 0 3 4 4 8 0 0 2 4 0 0, and I press 1 to connect my call. A person connects on the line, definitely from North America, and we go through the issue that I am having. So, they asked for my email address, which I thought was a bit weird because I have a Microsoft Account, and they would know it, and I get an email from m s f t f o r t [at] microsoft.com. Which says:


Microsoft Support requires your authorization to access accountinformation. Please share this verification code with the supportrepresentative you are working with.

Support verification code: [**REMOVED FOR PRIVACY**]

So, then they tell me that I will be connected to a technician, and gave me a reference number. Please let me know if you need it or not.

But after 1 minute of silence, the automated voice that I was greeted with at the start told me that it was out of business hours. I looked at the clock, and it said 9:02 pm, so I don't know if I was connected to a different country with Microsoft using the UK number for standard landline charges, and the service had closed in that time zone, or it's not a genuine call. If that is the case, what should I do?

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

 

Trouble saving voicemail number

To access my voicemail it is my phone number, a pause and 4 digit pin.



I did the following steps:

• Turned off default voicemail number
• Added a , (for pause) at end of my phone number
• Added the 4 digit pin

I get the following error message We're having trouble saving your voicemail number right now. Try again later.



Any suggestions on how to correct this?
