Windows 10: Get Office and My Office in Start Menu

Installing a clean 1709 I now have "Get Office" and "My Office" APP's listed in the Start Menu.
Clicking on "Get Office" does nothing unless I uninstall "My Office", in wich case clicking on "Get Office" will
reinstall "My Office". "Get Office" cannot be uninstalled ... Have gone through clean install twice now
starting with 16299.15 and by the time I get to 16299.64 this what I get. How do I get rid of this damn
"Get Office" Ghost?

The Get Office shortcut in the Start List is not valid. Once clicking, there's no response. And the My Office app is valid, and substituted for the original Get Office functionally. My question is how I could delete the Get Office shortcut since it's useless?

Step #4: Now in Windows PowerShell, Click on the top right corner and select edit. Paste the command you have copied in the 3rd step.

Step #5: Hit Enter to execute the command.

Step #6: Restart you PC.

Thank you for your instant reply, however, I have tried all steps that you mentioned, and that did not resolved my concern.

For the first step, right clicking the uninstall command is not responsive;

For the remaining steps, uninstalling office hub only deleted the My Office hub,

but the Get Office remained intact there, which is the target I want to delete.

You should be able to uninstall "Get Office" by running the command below in PowerShell.

Get-AppxPackage *officehub* | Remove-AppxPackage

I know this should work but it does not, had tried that before, Get Office is not moving ...

 

What does PowerShell report when you run the command?

Powershell reports nothing

 

Nothing, executes and nothing, stays mute.

 

I admit that I'm stumped as well.

 

Same for me, I’ve even tried CCleaner & Get Office isn’t listed but My Office is.

 

Did you ever fix this Bastet? I started another thread but found this one. Tonight it got worse as get office updated app via the store. Now ‘get office’ is gone but we have two ‘my office’ entries in our start menu which looks a bit lousy. One opens the app, the other does nothing if you click on it and can’t be uninstalled
