Get out of safe mode with recovery tool

    Hi folks.

heres my problem, while I was able to use my laptop on windows 10, I wanted to switch to safe mode to uninstall a program. Upon reboot, i thought windows would ask me for a password before entering in windows in safe mode (as for XP, 7 and maybe even 8), but it dont. I mean, i can see the windows lockscreen but when I click on it (where the clock and date is shown), it wont ask me for any credentials so therefore I cannot enter my password and access to safe mode.

    Heres the troubleshoots I made:
Used a recovery tool and try all the options provided from it (nothing worked).
Tried the command prompt to activates the Admin user, rebooted, didnt been able to see it upon reboot.
Tried to cd in c:\windows\system32 to start msconfig and change the settings from there but they ask me for admin privileges
Tried to log in as an admin to be able to try the launch of msconfig again, entered the good password but that didnt make it

kinda clueless now. im doing a win 10 bootable usb key with the windows media creation tool now and hope to get rid of that stupid loop with it and cross my fingers I wont be forced to format my laptop.

    any ideas are welcome. Thanks

    :)

Unable to get out of Safe mode with Networking even after changing the boot settings

Start your PC, then just after the Manufacturers logo disappears and Windows 10 tries to boot, press and hold the power button down for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a hard shut down

    Do this Twice

On the third boot attempt, Windows will boot into the Windows 10 Repair Environment, from there you can access Startup Recovery, Safe Mode, Command Prompt . . . etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Command Prompt

Copy in this Command and hit enter

    bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot

    Reboot

thx for your fast answer. I tried to access bcedit in the command prompt it didnt work. I dont remember what was the error message though. I thought it was because i was using it by the usb recovery key so I tried to cd in c\windows\system32 to trigger it again. Without success...

The command is bcdedit not bcedit. BCD = Boot Configuration Data

Sounds like it's time for a clean install. If you have files you need to get off the old partition you have a couple choices. I recommend booting from a USB flash drive or DVD of Kyhi's Recovery Tools:
Windows 10 Recovery Tools - Bootable Rescue Disk

Then you can either backup the old Windows partition to an external drive (Macrium Reflect will let you explore the backup image and retrieve files from it). If you don't have an external drive for the backup, then you can shrink the old Windows partition to as small as it will go and move it to the end of the hard drive. Delete everything in front of it and do a clean install to the remaining unallocated space. Then when you get all the files copied out of the old Windows partition that you want to keep you can either reformat it for data storage or delete it and expand the new Windows partition to fill the empty space.
